CONTRACTS
A contract is an agreement between two or more persons which
creates an obligation to do or not to do a particular thing. A contract is
a legal relationship; a promise or set of promises constituting an agreement
that gives each person a legal duty to the other and also the right to seek
a remedy for the breach of those duties. Several types of contracts are:
Employment: An agreement or contract between employer and employee in
which the terms and conditions of one's employment are provided.
Independent Contractor: An independent contractor is a person who
contracts with another to do something for him but who is not controlled by
the other nor subject to the other's right to control, with respect to his
physical conduct in the performance of the task. He may or may not be an
agent. Generally, an independent contractor is someone who contracts to do
a piece of work according to his own methods and is subject to the
contractor's control only as to the end product or final result of his work.
